The Risk Framework

A system designed to survive, not impress.

Risk Engine Philosophy

Most traders focus on entries. We focus on survival.

The GROM23 framework treats risk as the primary variable. Profit is a byproduct of disciplined risk management, not the goal itself.

Max Loss Rules

2% max risk per trade

Position sizing calculated before entry. No exceptions.

4% max daily drawdown

Hit the limit? Done for the day. No revenge trading.

10% max monthly drawdown

Approach the limit? Reduce size or pause entirely.

Execution Discipline

Pre-defined entry criteria
Fixed stop loss before entry
No moving stops against position
Take profit levels set in advance
No trading during high-impact news
Journal every trade — win or lose

Why Consistency > RRR Obsession

A 1:3 risk-reward ratio means nothing if you can't execute it consistently.

We prioritize:

  • Realistic targets based on market structure
  • Consistent 1.5-2:1 RRR that's actually achievable
  • Win rate + RRR combined for positive expectancy

Psychology Under Pressure

Rules exist because emotions lie.

After a loss: Follow the system, not the urge to "make it back"

After a win: Same process. No overconfidence sizing.

During drawdown: Reduce size, increase selectivity

When uncertain: Cash is a position. No trade is valid.
